The bridge that takes Buxton Road over the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road (A6MARR) opened to traffic on 5th February 2018. This means that scheduled bus services are again running on Buxton Road, rather than being diverted along the realigned A6.
The Buxton Road Bridge will be permitted for use by buses, cyclists, pedestrians and equestrians only. General traffic will be prohibited from using the bridge.
