More than 5,000 jobs will be created in Manchester thanks to a new road improving connections in and around the city to its airport.
Traffic flows will continue to change in areas around the new A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road (A555) over the coming weeks as drivers begin to re-route their journeys to take advantage of the new road.
The new A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road (A6MARR) is now open for traffic.
Thousands of people came to explore the new A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road for themselves last Sunday before it opens to traffic.
We’re pleased to confirm that the new A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road will be open to traffic from Monday 15th October following a final inspection today.
The A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road is nearly finished and we want to give you a chance to come and explore it for yourself before it opens to traffic!
