On 3rd May 2017, Carillion Morgan Sindall will be transferring traffic on to the new slip roads and bridge at the junction of the A555/Woodford Road, Bramhall. As part of the works, from 8pm Tuesday 2nd May to 6am Wednesday 3rd May there will be a full closure of:
- A555 between A34 and Woodford Road, Bramhall junction.
- Woodford Road, Bramhall between immediately north of Jenny Lane junction and Woodford Recreation Ground access.
Access to properties will be maintained at all times and signed diversion route will be in place. Map of diversion route.
Following the traffic transfer, temporary traffic lights will be in operation on Woodford Road, Bramhall at the top of the slip roads, prior to the installation of the permanent traffic lights at the junction.
A footway will be maintained on the eastern side of the Woodford Road at the junction.
Works to complete the junction will continue once traffic has been transferred to the new bridge. We will ensure that the local community is kept informed as the works progress.
