As part of the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road (A6MARR) project, Carillion Morgan Sindall (CMS) are delighted to announce the launch of the second tranche of their Community Space Improvement Project.

Following on from last year’s successful green space renovation for Friends of Stanley Hall Park in Handforth, Cheshire and the on-going works with Stockport Harriers (athletics stadium improvement) and Wythenshawe Campus (community garden), CMS has begun the next round of applications in order to help other community groups impacted by the scheme to develop and add value to the community surrounding them.

If you are a community group improving a space for community use or maybe you know of a local organisation that may be interested in applying you can download the online application for a range of hard landscaping materials to support construction of your planned project. Your project should be within 0.5km of the A6MARR or should have a significant benefit for communities within that area. There is also the chance to receive additional support and training as part of the project. You may have a wall that needs rebuilding, a path that needs resurfacing or you may want to build some raised beds to make gardening easier and more accessible.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on the 5th March 2017. Your application will be acknowledged within 5 working days. You will be notified about the success of your application by the 7th April 2017. All projects must be completed by 29th September 2017.
